The picture on the box is slightly misleading; the model is actually gray in color, not cream. However, one could easily paint the kit and make it match. This model was not too difficult to build (and I am definitely a beginning modeler). This one took a few hours to build (about 3-4), and although the pieces are molded in colors already, it will definitely look better once painted to get rid of the plastic sheen. The hardest parts of the model are the gluing (making sure not to get too much glue that will seep onto the plastic), sanding the pieces to get rid of extraneous molded aberations, and handling the tiny pieces (making sure not to break them when removing them from their “shell”). Overall, a very nice model that will look great on your HO layout.
